How it works

One upload. A complete study set.

Drop in a lecture and TurboStudy builds everything you need to start studying — then starts measuring what you actually know.

  1. Step 1: Upload a lecture

Slides, PDFs, Word docs, notes or photos of handwritten notes — or lecture audio with Premium.

  2. Step 2: TurboStudy reads it

Every page and slide, organized into the topics your course covers.

  3. Step 3: Your study set is built

Notes, flashcards and a quiz from your own material, with source references.

  4. Step 4: Test yourself

Take the quiz and your Exam Readiness starts measuring what you know.

Step 1 of 4 · Drag in Lecture 6.pdf

Demonstration

Drag your lecture here

PDFs, slides, notes, photos or audio

Demonstration with sample content — not real processing. Steps: a file called Lecture 6.pdf is dragged in; TurboStudy reads its 42 pages; it generates a study set; the result is notes on 6 topics, 58 flashcards, 20 quiz questions and Exam Readiness tracking, which starts after the first quiz. Use the step buttons to jump between steps.
Exam Readiness

Don't just generate notes. Find out if you're ready.

Other study tools create material. TurboStudy tells you what to study next.

Every quiz, flashcard and practice question becomes evidence. TurboStudy turns it into an Exam Readiness Score from 0 to 100 for each course, tells you how reliable that score is, and points you to the topics that need work. Topics you haven't practiced count against you, so the score stays honest.

Every score comes with a confidence level

Confidence shows how much evidence is behind the number. It grows as you answer more questions, cover more topics and use more than one way of studying.

Low
Not much practice yet, or only a few topics covered — treat the score as a first look.
Medium
Enough practice across the course to trust the trend.
High
Lots of practice across most topics, with more than one study method.

What it means: the score looks good, but it's based on a small part of the course. Practice the remaining topics and the score — and its confidence — will tell you much more.

  1. Step 1: Upload

    Lectures, slides, PDFs and notes.

  2. Step 2: Study

Notes and flashcards from your material.

  3. Step 3: Test

    Quizzes, recall and practice exams.

  4. Step 4: Measure

Readiness by topic, with a confidence level.

  5. Step 5: Improve

Study what moves your readiness most.

Readiness is an estimate based on your TurboStudy activity and uploaded material. It does not predict your actual grade.

Recovery Mode

Premium

Turn a weak topic into a strong one.

When a topic keeps tripping you up, Recovery Mode walks you through it in four short steps instead of another round of re-reading.

  1. Explain

A short, clear explanation of the idea you're missing, from your material.

  2. Practice

A few targeted questions on just that idea.

  3. Apply

Use it on a new scenario, the way an exam would ask.

  4. Retest

Come back later to check it stuck.

AI Notes

Clear notes from every lecture — with sources.

TurboStudy turns slides, readings and transcripts into organized notes: key ideas by topic, definitions, examples and what your material emphasizes. Every section links back to the page or slide it came from.

  • Concise, standard or detailed notes
  • Page and slide references you can check
  • Highlight any part to explain it, quiz yourself or make flashcards
Lecture 6 — Cost Curves · NotesExample

How a firm's costs change with output, and why average cost is U-shaped.

Marginal cost (MC)

Slide 7

The cost of making one more unit. When MC is below ATC, ATC falls.

Short run vs. long run

Slide 11

Short run: at least one input is fixed. Long run: every input can change.

Economies of scale

Slide 18

Long-run ATC falls as output grows, then rises with diseconomies of scale.

What the material emphasizes: the MC–ATC relationship appears on 4 slides and in 2 worked examples.

Flashcards

Flashcards that come back right before you'd forget.

Cards are written from your own material, one idea per card. Spaced repetition schedules every review, so your time goes to the cards you're about to forget — not the ones you already know.

  • Easy, standard or exam-level cards
  • Edit, delete or rewrite any card
  • Spaced repetition on every plan

Quizzes

Quiz yourself on exactly what your class covered.

Multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank and short answer — with instant feedback and an explanation for every answer. Every result updates your topic mastery and your Exam Readiness.

  • Short answers graded with feedback
  • Share a quiz with classmates
Quiz · Question 4 of 20Example

In the long run, a perfectly competitive firm earns…

APositive economic profit
Zero economic profit
CNegative accounting profit

Correct. Entry and exit push price to minimum ATC, so economic profit is zero. (Lecture 6, slide 22)

AI Tutor

Ask about your course. Get answers from your material.

The tutor searches your lectures and readings, answers with citations, and labels anything that comes from general knowledge — so you always know where an answer came from.

  • Explanations, examples and step-by-step help
  • Citations to your own lectures and readings
  • Built to help you learn — not to do graded work
AI Tutor · Microeconomics 201Example
Why does MC cross ATC at its lowest point?
While MC is below ATC, each extra unit pulls the average down. Once MC rises above it, each unit pulls the average up — so ATC bottoms out exactly where they meet.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Still wondering about something? Visit Support or read our AI Disclaimer.

What files can I upload?

PDFs, PowerPoint slides (.pptx), Word documents (.docx), text and Markdown files, photos or scans of your notes (PNG, JPG, WEBP) and lecture audio (MP3, M4A, WAV and more). You can also paste text directly.

Lecture audio transcription is a Premium feature. On the Free plan, each upload can be up to 30 pages and 20 MB, with 3 uploads a month; paid plans support much larger files.

Can TurboStudy be wrong?

Yes. AI can make mistakes — notes, flashcards, quiz answers, explanations and tutor replies can occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. TurboStudy grounds everything in the material you upload and shows source references, so you can check where each answer came from. When the tutor uses general knowledge instead of your material, it says so.

Always verify important information against your course material and your instructor.

How is Exam Readiness calculated?

Your Exam Readiness Score (0–100) is a weighted combination of the evidence from your practice in a course: quiz mastery, active recall, practice exams, flashcard mastery, how much of the course's topics you've covered, and how recently you've practiced. Recent answers and harder questions count more, and topics you haven't practiced pull the score down instead of being ignored.

A score appears once you have at least 5 graded answers. Every score comes with a confidence level — Low, Medium or High — based on how many questions you've answered, how many topics you've covered and how many different ways you've studied.

Readiness is an estimate based on your TurboStudy activity and uploaded material. It does not predict your actual grade.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. You keep your paid features until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Your courses, notes and flashcards stay in your account.

Premium — “Study smarter.” — costs $8.99/month, or $69.99/year billed annually (about $5.83/month — 35% less than paying monthly).

Is my material private?

Yes. Your uploads are private by default — only you can access them. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share a quiz, and a shared quiz link shows only that quiz's questions, never your notes or files. You can stop sharing at any time.

We never use your materials to train AI models, and you can delete any file, or your whole account, whenever you like.

Can TurboStudy predict my exam?

No. TurboStudy can't know what will be on your exam or what grade you'll get, and it never claims to. Exam Readiness estimates how prepared you are from your own practice results, and features like Professor Profile and Exam Blueprint show what your course material emphasizes — not the actual exam.

What TurboStudy can do is show you which topics you're weakest on and what to study next, so your time goes where it's most likely to help.

Is TurboStudy free?

Yes. The Free plan lets you try the full study loop on a real class: 3 uploads a month, AI notes, 100 AI flashcards, 5 quizzes and an Exam Readiness preview. No credit card required.

Is using TurboStudy okay with academic integrity rules?

TurboStudy is a study tool. Use it with your own notes and course materials you're allowed to use. Don't upload exams or materials you aren't authorized to share, and don't use TurboStudy during graded exams or assessments. Always follow your school's rules.
